Abu Dhabi Department of Energy joins Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week as principal partner
Abu Dhabi’s Department of Energy (DoE) today announced that it will serve as Principal Partner at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) for the second year in a row.
The signing ceremony took place at the Department of Energy offices in Abu Dhabi, with Masdar CEO, Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi and H.E. Eng. Mohammed Juma Bin Jarsh Al Falasi, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy serving as the signatories. The ceremony was also attended by H.E. Awaidha Al Marar, DoE Chairman and Dr Lamya Fawwaz, Executive Director, Brand & Strategic Initiatives and Zainab Al Ali, Senior Manager, Outreach and Stakeholder Relations.
The partnership will see the DoE sponsor various events throughout the week, helping drive its mission to transform the energy sector while ensuring environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.

Taking place from 11 to 18 January, the 2020 edition of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week comprises an array of events including the World Future Energy Summit, Women in Sustainability, Environment, and Renewable Energy (WiSER) and the Youth 4 Sustainability forums.
Since 2008, the annual event has led the sustainability conversation in the UAE, while also drawing global attention and engagement. Attended by nearly 40,000 people from 170 countries in 2019, last year’s event saw the announcement of more than USD 11 billion worth of projects.
