WiSER Annual Forum
The WiSER annual Forum is the flagship event of the WiSER platform. Taking place annually at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, one of the world’s leading platforms for accelerating sustainable development, the WiSER Forum invites policymakers, industry leaders and other influential figures from around the world to discuss relevant topics related to sustainability in the context of gender equality.
The Forum aims to promote new thinking, viable solutions and lasting collaboration to empower present and future generations of female sustainability leaders. One of the key outcomes of the Forum is a whitepaper based on the outputs of the roundtables, which summarizes key findings and offers an insightful commentary about the topics discussed.

Energy Access for All: Empowering Women to Accelerate Sustainable Development
Improving women’s access to energy has the potential to supercharge the global economy and accelerate action to combat climate change. Yet women find themselves unable to participate equally in the energy transition, as they are disproportionately impacted by a lack of access to energy and are insufficiently involved in energy sector transformation.
Whilst there have been some successes, there remains a long way to go in ensuring women globally receive adequate energy access and energy sector involvement to enable them to improve their livelihoods.
The WiSER Forum will lead a critically important discussion on the key issues influencing female empowerment in relation to equitable clean energy access, while exploring the gender-focused solutions to potentially achieving the United Nations’ target of universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy by 2030.
