Recreation
Recreation & Well-being
Sustainability at Masdar City is centred on healthy living. The city provides a number of public recreational facilities for residents, tenants, visitors and Masdar employees to enjoy on their own or with family.
Masdar Park
Masdar Park is 2,500 square metres of recreational space. Open daily from 9am-10pm, the park features a children’s playground, a music wall and art installations themed on sustainability. Visitors can charge their phones and digital devices using the park's solar-powered benches, and interact with 'The Tree of Light’ made from recycled building materials. The Tree of Light changes colours when touched.
In addition to a picnic area, the park has eight shops and food & beverage outlets, each housed inside brightly coloured and solar-powered recycled shipping containers.
Running and Cycling Track
The Al Mamsha trail starts at Masdar Park and stretches for 5.6 kilometres around Masdar City, taking in sustainability landmarks such as the Eco-Villa.
Masdar City also has three Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) bikeshare stations, which are operated by Cyacle. They are located next to the Siemens building, IRENA Headquarters, and Masdar Park.
To become a member of Cyacle, which grants the user access to 50 bikeshare stations and 300 bicycles across the city of Abu Dhabi, please click here:https://www.bikeshare.ae/
